    Not a bad choice, I ran the 224/224, 112 for several years. Personally now I'd go with the 228/228 instead. Street manners should be the same but would make a few extra hp. The 224 already had a noisy valvetrain in mine.

    I did the magic stick 3 route (114 LSA though), LS6 intake 4.11's and 3600 stall, tune with no problems (well due to parts anyway). Could sit at the redlight with the AC on loping like crazy no problem, Could even start the car without even sitting in it, just get it tuned good. The only aggrivating part about it was cruising at 30 MPH it would surge some. Putting it (MS3) in a 5.3 to replace the long dead LS1.

    Oups I mean 3:42 gears not 3:23 's Is it a Texas speed or a Comp cam ????

    Mine was the Thunder Racing (TR) 224 cam.

    Well after cecking into it I bought the headers and y pipe KOOKs at a great deal and I will get those installed 1st the cam package trunion kit oil pump and ls2 chain and install is an additionnal 2 grand or more and thats a little too much for now I will save my # I didn't realise what needed to be done to do it right!!!! Headers y pipe and install with gm gaskets and bolts is already coin there but at least I'm building it right I have the Yank SS3200 with 3:42 gears the suspension parts are done and now I just need the cam and ls6 intake If anyone has an ls6 for sale :-) and I will be there ok we are never there but close enough lolll

    228r 112lsa with a 3600 convertor, ported and polished 243's and full bolt-ons is easily drivable with a good tune. and runs its ass off too.

    same set up in my old ss. mods to that in sig...
    2000 ss camaro, forged lq9 370 short block, stage 3 PRC 243 heads, fast 102 w, big mouth throttle body, MS3 cam, 1.7 roller rockers, stage 3 t-56, monster stage 3, pro 5.0, 4.10's with moser axles, bmr tq arm, lca's, phb. SOLD (thankfully)!!!

    New project: 1968 step-side, partial restore, ls/th400 swap. hopefully boosted pics and more info to come!!!

    I agree with NHRA 1 went with a 222/226 EPS cam with .597lift and 112lsa wished I went 1 step bigger as well Call Geaoff at EPS he is amazingly knowledgeable and will help u or TSpeed or even Thunder Racing

    i am running a tsp 232/234 @50 598/605 112 LSA on stock heads. and the mileage is still just about as good as it was with the stock cam.
