If memory serves shep ran 7s on QTP's which are street legal. All gas no nitrous. The RWD DSM that you speak of is probably Brent Rau. I think he's going 6.90s now. Pretty decent for a 4 banger.
Shepherd is a beast, I spoke with him on the phone. Probably the most down to earth quasi-celebrity I've ever talked to.

most def. incorrect...a stock 08 sti runs 13 flat all day...u wanna kno how i kno this...2 of my boyz have the new 08 sti's when they were stock they couldnt get it outta the 13's....but once they did minor stuff like intake, downpipe, and a tune they hit between 12.6 - 12.9...the way i see it...the 08 08 sti aint even worth it...the 08 evo x gsr is where the money is at....a guy i kno on base is running 12.4 on just intake, and exshaust....he went from 13.5 to 12.4 with just to mods....how about that....he even left his baby seat in when he ran his 12.4....lol

can only assume it had a lot to do with the tune.........very often turbo cars can have HUGE gains from JUST a tune......audi s4 is a perfect example...stock 250 horse.......tune just over 300

i HIGHLY doubt it.......check out 0-60 times of very fast production cars.....awd cars run faster.....and sti or evo both run under 5 sec to 60 with only 230 wheel hp......fastest ive seen them test an ls1 z run is 5.1 with 300 rwhp .....sry man....im doubtful ....have to beat on an awd car to launch the piss out of it though.....not my cup of tea

Well IMO, I wouldn't take a Evo or STi over a r33 gtr Skyline, The Rb26 engine is Well built and can handle High Revs forever, Plus on Factory Stock internals guys have went well over 600 Ponies with no problems, Plus the Drivetran is Extremely built compared to an EVO or STI.
This is one built pretty heavy, But shows a little of what they can do.

this is his current setup, with no tune running 12.4....believe it or not....Last edited by 317Born; 08-17-2008 at 06:18 AM. Reason: Add On
