Humidity saps the life out of me.
First three days this week were kind of rough. Today should be better and then the weekend starts around 4:30 this afternoon. I mounted the Malone kayak carriers on the roof of the 'Burb last night. The shape and angle of the crossbar isn't really ideal for the contour of the clamping system, but it is definitely a rugged setup. How the hell a shorty like me is going to toss a kayak on the roof of the 'Burb remains to be seen. Might be kind of comical...

Probably be about half as comical as watching you get in it.
Swapped out the ailing power steering pump on the truck yesterday. Not a terrible job really but it was hot and muggy which slowed me down quite a bit getting waters. Blew boost tube off on the test drive so I tightened the clamps up a little more. Rung it out a little to test those clamps on 2nd drive and no issues. Not putting the fender liner back in until I'm sure those clamps will hold. Never know how tight those should be. Don't want to over tighten them because that boost tube is aluminum so don't want to crush it.

Weekend has begun for me. Stopped and picked up a new cooler for the ride down. Tired of borrowing one.

I know I asked last week for a break in the daily rain but damn....
My son had 2 of his Wisdom teeth pulled this morning, they put him under. Kinda funny as hell to see him after.Last edited by SMWS6TA; 06-22-2018 at 05:56 AM.

Kayaks are on the roof of the Suburban and ready for the ride home tomorrow. First attempt to get one up there was an epic fail that resulted in a bruised hand and a wife laughing hysterically.

She is shorter than I am. For the second kayak, I opened the back door and rested the nose of the kayak on top of the door and then lifted the back as I climbed the step stool. Once I was on the top step, it was easy to then lift it onto both bracket loading ramps. This will now be "the approved loading and unloading procedure".
The sun is out today for the ride home. Hopefully I will be able to mow at the office this evening.
