As I speak of Supra's being rare around these parts, I seen a super nice one today That thing was done right and done expensive. I am no expert but this thing had to be pulling 5XX+ HP because it was flawlessly done and sounded incredible.

White- 97 3.8L Firebird 5 Speed
The cleanest Supra I have ever seen was a stock one filling up at a Costco, Older dude had it but it was great to see a stock one.
I would put the Supra in my top list of cars

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
you would get rapped soooooo hard if a supra had any money into it. only thing that would be being taken in one of those races is your dignity and manhood
a mk IV 2JZ runs 13.3 stock. dont confuse a supra with a autozone'd civic or integra ....the mkIVs can straight up run.
a fbody and a supra are two different philosophies on speed. one goes the way of large displacement N/A . The other goes with smaller displacement and F/I.
when modding is concerned (both platforms with similar times) the F/I will almost always win..they can make stupid power relatively easy and cheaply.
i dont want to come off rude or saying your car isnt fast. but a modded 2jz is a scary thing and one that i dont even want to mess with just yet . fyi i have 3.23 gearsLast edited by shady milkman; 06-04-2010 at 05:32 AM.

There used to be a black one around here locally that was modified by one of the local shops. It looked completely stock on the outside aside from aftermarket wheels, a lower stance, and a FMIC. The car was owned by some old guy and his wife. Both looked to be in their late 50s, white hair and all. This old geezer put down a low 10s 1/4 mile with the 6 speed at one of the track events I went to, and drove the car home with A/C and full interior. The car was absolutely mint. It looked brand new inside and out. Definitely one of the cleanest ones I've seen, and fast to boot.

Poopras? They can safely handle 800-1000whp stock bottom end. which makes them cheap to mod once you buy one. I ran a supra down in OC 2 weeks ago and it was the one race I def thought it could go either way. I won but I dont think it was too modded. Def a respectable car.

Are you serious?? Heavier spinning mass = greater innercial(sp)torque.. An internal combustion engine creates two kinds of torque. One is created by the combustion process (such as you discribed) the other is created as a by product of the rotational mass of the object that is spinning.. Basics of how an internal combustion engine works.. Basic physics.. Think of it like this, if you use an aluminum flywheel on an engine it will spin up faster but has less torque @ a given rpm.. Now using a steel flywheel (same engine) it takes longer to spin up but has greater torque @ the same given rpm due to it's heavier rotating mass..
