Just went up to the building and off loaded her from the trailer. She is resting comfortably now in the garage until I get time to swap the street sneakers back on. We got skunked by a schedule change at the track and missed our last chance to run her. Until next year...

Got my LED blinker bulbs in yesterday. Boy, are they sick looking. I plan on putting them in this weekend. Then, count and verify what I need for the tails and get them ordered.

I trimmed the wiring down. I just used the butt connectors that came with the kit. I will get back in there and solder one of these days. I was able to get the panel back over it, but had to jostle things around a few times. I wanted to get it back together. Give me something to do once I get a decent solder gun. I have three and they all suck a##.

I put in fresh clutch fluid using the "ranger" method today, and boy was the old clutch fluid dirty after only 36k miles!

Surprising how dirty that gets so quickly.

Well,
You know what i did today...? I just enjoyed owning her!
I had the first decent weather drive since getting her over here
and drove it to work.
I work at a boys college and a few came out to have a look and
aside from all of the "coo, it's very shiny sir!" comments, one boy
who is rather academic surprised the hell out of me when he said
"This has got the LS1 out of a Corvette hasn't it sir?!"
Made my day

I pulled all the pleather and plastic off the driver's seat I picked up, pulled everything off my old seat, and swapped them over. Pretty easy with the right tool. The hog ring pliers that it. Then, I installed my newly embroidered headrests, and put the seat in the car. Looks good. The donor seat had a twisted back, and a tweaked seat pan. Whatever car that was in can't look good. Got hit real hard I am sure. Oh, yeah, I also had to listen to the system for a while just in case it got damaged while I was working on the seat.....

Had the detailers at the lot I work at give it a full clean and wax and finally started driving it again since I have been able to take the tops off. I took the lowering springs out so I could get into the parking lot at work and plan to DD mine for a few months after it's been sitting in a garage for 5 months. I have been driving my new Ram 1500 so much I forgot how much I loved this car with the tops off.

Fixed my ses light so I could go through emissions. I apparently pulled out 1 of the wires going into the map sensor harness when I removed and replaced the intake manifold, replacing the cam sensor. YUK!! What a pita to get to. You can barely reach it to unplug it from the sensor, then you have to fix the wires while stretched up on top of the motor due to the harness is now up under the cowl about 1/2 way up to the front of the engine. Anyway, all better now. No ses light and 2 more years until I have to worry about emissions.

I also had to take off my lowering springs, due to stupid parking lot speed "mountains" at work. Although I took the stock rear springs and cut 1/2 coil out. Now it has a lil bit lower stance and my headers still clear the speed bumps. I'am sooooo jelly you can go topless in November!!!! DEf not doing that in Nov here in good ol' Maryland.

Red- 2002 Trans Am WS6 (M6)
Some of us are crazy. I've had my car out at least once a month with the t-tops off since I bought it new in April 2002. You learn to pick your days when the roads are clear and turn the heater on high. Oh yeah... my rule - side windows can't be up either - just wrong with the tops off.
