when i posted about it years ago there were several others who had the same thing happen... it's very common for the stocker to break... usually they break (like mine) where they bolt up to the rear...

Just my 2 cents, but this happened to me, have pix to prove it






Stock motor M6 with 100k miles never seen the strip at the time it broke, just driven hard.
don't mean to derail main topic, but just wanted to show it does happen and you don't need to have 400+ HP and slicks to have it fail.
