Sure.....I just used the jegs kit... http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...52213_-1_10367
I also ran the cable through some flex conduit I got at Home Depot....installed a 200amp fuse in the positive cable to prevent any fires from a short.... http://store.solar-electric.com/f-200t.html you can get them at any car stereo place or Radio Shack...I put it in a electrical box also sourced from Home Depot. Grind you off a good clean ground in the rear....run your positive cable and mate it up with your existing positive cable...I also put this union in a electrical box and secured it..... it is the small red box ( I painted it) you can see here...
I used a simple union from jegs for that also http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_72890_-1
All wrapped up.......
Here you can see the cable inside the light blue conduit running from the back to the front....
The original ground terminal I just bolted back down to a ground up front......
Finished product......you want it over your right rear tire by the way..
Fairly straight forward project.....I've done quite a few....be happy to answer any questions....This is my signature. It is mine. Nobody else has one like it.

No you dont have to extend anything....that is what the union is for...just take off your positive terminal and anything else it has on it and move them over to the new union that connects to the positive post in the rear of the car. Come at me with that first sentence again...I cant make out what your trying to say man

NHRA or IHRA? Depends on what ET's your running. Battery quick disconnect usually is what they are looking for. Cheap and simple but requires a hole in your trunk or somewhere to mount it.

Damn that is one pretty engine bay Sarge! How about the complaint I have heard about problems with voltage drop. Seems to me you use good enough wire and connection it shouldn't be a problem but still I have heard the gripes so please clarify. Thanks.

Yup I hear em bitch...then I go over and almost always find one of two things.
1. They have the neg terminal grounded to like the floor pan and not the frame. Folks....get a soilid ground!!!!!
2. They use to small of a cable...you must use a 1-0gauge cable....none of this 2 or 3 gauge stuff. It is too small.
Good solid ground. Proper size cable.
Think about it...Mercedes has been putting batteries in the trunk for years...think they have magic battery dust? Nope...they have the right size cable and a solid ground.
