Interior LED light mods!
I was recently turned on to changing out the bulbs in my dash and HVAC cluster. Go to www.superbrightLEDs.com to view a lot of different bulbs and colors to change your interior. If you need help installing them or have questions, go to www.keliente.com and check out the How-To section.

Those do leave a nice effect! I've wanted interior led's since I noticed the C5 corvette has one in the bottom of the rearview aiming down at the dash. So dim it's almost as if you're hallucinating. Neat.
How do you tell which bulbs you currently have?

I ordered 8 blue LED bulbs for my instrument cluster and my HVAC guages for 25 bucks. If you were to buy the bulbs from Autozone or whatnot, you'd pay 17 bucks for 2 bulbs!

any bulb #194 will fit in the intrument cluster. I recommend using the wide-angle lights.

Nice, I'm working the same path to the all blue interior. Still need to do the radio and headlight switch. Looks good tho man!
How do you do the radio display? And can you do the odo display the same way?Last edited by 666ws6; 04-16-2009 at 04:59 PM.

That looks so nice. I was wondering if you could do this. I cant stand it when guages on the a-pillar dont match the factory guages. That looks so good though.

camaro headunits are white and blue/green from factory. no stupid red overlays for us...but i could take the factory head unit apart and add the little blue leds in there too, but it really doesnt bother me. if you look closer at the buttons of the stereo they are actually white..so like i said could easily be blue

Yeah, I just realized that. I took my Firebird radio apart, and was bummed that the stinkin buttons and text are all coated in red. Changing the LED's won't do a thing. I bought a used Camaro radio, hopefully I can mod that one and install into my TA.

Thanks. I'll miss the equalizer from the Firebird radio, but I never really use those anyway.
Do you know if the automatic SVC speed volume control will work? Is that internal to the unit? My Firebird radio doesn't have that.

yes it will work...as that svc is actually a wire thats directly run thru the factory harness...i had a radio take a crap on me, and it actually was the svc part in my radio...it shorted out and caused the speedo to be dead. un plug the stereo i had speedo again weird i know..but yes it will work just plugging it in

Do the needles for the guages light up still? You cant see the needles for any of the guages in the picture

yes the needles show up. y camera couldnt pick them up due to my favorite cat knocking a cup of koolaid all over the camera...but the needles being red from facotry being lit with the blue leds now makes it kinda of a darker purple...kinda neat looking...i got all my leds from superbrightleds.com just bought individual leds not their gauge kit as they rip u hardcore on that

Your gauge face really lights up a nice blue. I did the same with Blue led bulbs from superbright but for some reason, mine is kinda spotty. There are a couple areas not as bright blue comapred to the ones right near the bulbs. As for the needles, I wired up little red LED's behind each needle, so they really light up red. That way the blue gauge with red needles matches my Cobalt pillar gauges. I'll try to take pics once it's all together.
