Thats the problem by his post alone he does not have any idea he was talking about how much houses cost as if that kind of money is easy and again he is 17 everything seems easy at that age.
The problem is to many people blow shit like this off. He can make all he promises in the world but if any of you have had friends who have been married or have kids you would see atleast a few of them are divorced or sharing custody by now. Who does this benefit?

I totally forgot you two were not married. Let me school you now. Your female is not married to you and they are going to go off her income since she is having the baby. That means?...wait for it...she qualifies its amazing between the two of you this did not come up.
Also its just as i said you are not worried since you are going to have mom and dad to fall back on. If you are not responsible enough to move out and do this all on your own with no help then you have no right to raise a kid.
I really think you are a trolll now.

I'm not arguing that things don't always work out but you're right he is 17, he dosn't know everything and should be given some room for naive assumptions due to lack of experience.
He doesn't seem to be blowing it off and if it doesn't work out at least he tried, which is better then just giving up.
Yes I am married and have friends in all situations that you mentioned, including one couple that had a shotgun wedding and are trying to make a failing relationship work for the sake of the kid.

she also has a job that pays well. she is just only working 20 hours a week right now. she is going full time this summer and will be going full time til december, take some time off, and go back to full time in February. we both are ambitious and work hard. even if it goes off hers we don't qualify for shit. tennessee has a low average income compared to most states and it makes it so if you have a job any better that 7dollars an hour you pretty much don't get shit.

I seriously doubt they told you this.
How many women have children then the husband runs off and they need help? They do not go by who is on the birth certificate they go by income and since you are not married her income should be under enough to get aid (i do not think its right since you have rich parents and before you go to the tax payers you should go to them).
Again you are going to have huge issues if neither one of you can figure this kind of shit out.
Plus regardless of how long you have been here people lie for attention. Either you have no idea what you are doing and need to go talk with your mom and dad A LOT MORE about this and have them help you with a plan or you are full of shit.
You choose.

my income = 17 an hour as of 12:00 today. I don't qualify. me and my girlfriend will be getting married. it's just a matter of when. she makes 11 dollars an hour right now. she just doesn't work many hours. we are both trying to finish college so we can make more. when she finishes she will keep a job at the same place, but will qualify for a position change and be able to demand more pay. in tennessee 11 dollars an hour is really good. that's the starting pay for a certified orthotic tech (what I do right now) as soon as I have 100 more hours of in job training in prosthetic tech i can make even more, because the STARTING pay for them is 22dollars an hour here. I am prolly gonna be making less money when I get out of college than I do now, but I will have more security and I won't have to work as laborously.

Bull they do not go off projected income if she is working 20 hours a week she is under average and will qualify. Also how does she have an apartment and insurance on a 20 hour a week job?
You are really starting to sound full of shit. If either one of you would have called you would not be saying this stuff.

heck I know i need to talk to people more and find out more. we have only known since last week that she was pregnant. I am not lieing for attention. why the hell would I lie about my girlfriend being pregnant. do I have to post up the statement from her practitioner that she is pregnant to prove that. do I need to post up pictures of my family's multiple houses to show I am not lieing about that. heck I could do all but post up pictures of my gf's family, because I plain do not assosiate with them, because half of them are crazy.

there are income requirements for most of them here. we don't qualify for food stamps, wic, or one other thing. from what we have learned so far we qualify for insurance and that's about it. we are looking for more. I had to do research into laws in tennessee before, and I can't get scholarships right now, because of their laws on stuff like this.

the insurance is one that the state offers. it is free. her apartment is only 280 a month. I help pay it half the time. her bills all together add up to be about 600 a month ( again I pay alot of it normally, I paid 340 last month for her and she only has the bare minimum on everything)

Listen lets try this with numbers.
1.) there is no "we" as far as the state is concerned its only her until you are married.
2.) she qualifys if she is only working 20 hours a week and is going to school since her income is below average.
3.) You are fucking right you cannot get a scholarship because your parents make 2m a year as you said and since you are legally still their dependant the state views you as having the available resourses to go to school.
