Rear End Gears
I currently have a 3:23:1 gear and am looking to get either a 3:73:1 or a 4:10:1. Can anybody reccomend anything and if I do change the gear from the stock will it make my spedo and odometer be innaccurate?

do you have a manual if so get 4.10. if you have a auto then 3.73 your speedo will be thrown off so you'll have to adjust it with a hand held.

I went from 2.73 to 4.10's in an atuo. Loving it BTW. My speedometer reads 118 at fuel cut-off however the GPS system shows I'm actually going 77 MPH when the speedo reads 118. 50 MPH on my speedo is actually 31 MPH so thats an Idea of how much it will be off but with your 3.23's your's shouldn't be off that much. I love the 4.10's behind an auto. 1st gear is a MF. cruising at 75 MPH with my 17 inch rims my tach reads about 2800.

do you roll through 1st gear real quick...i dont want to lose 1st gear with too tall of a gear.

I would reccommend 3.73's for an automatic.
4.10's are better for the 6 speeds, since we have taller gears and 2 overdrives

Is there some bad reason why people choose 373s over 410s for autos?? Or is it preference?

honestly the best gears are from gm performance...they are factory and i have heard that they never whine when installed.
