'02 WS6 M6 - shifter Q
Hey all-
Since getting my car, I've noticed that the shifter seems to have quite a bit of play in it even when its in gear. I also get a rattle from the stick when cruising at certain RPM ranges that resonate just right...
I've been into several manual shifters before and I know there is usually a little gromet that goes on the ball at the end of the shifter. Does the T-56 usually have this same part?
Maybe its normal for the shifter to be as loose as it is... but I figured that the Hurst shifters would have been tighter than this.

Mine did somewhat the same thing. Just take the boot off and tighten the bolts that hold the shifter on. I think I did mine twice before I ended up tighting the shit out of it and it hasn't happened again. But, also don't daily drive the car anymore.

I don't think its in the shifter bolts themselves, I think its under the shifter plate, where the shifter mates to the trans. Does anyone have exploded view of this part of the trans / shifter assy?

Yank it out and check it out. Only takes like 10 min.
