Went to a Alumni golf outing today, My Dad told me on one particular shot that I hit it off the front of the club and my reply was I've had 2 Bloody Mary's and 4 Beers and it's only 10:20AM so I would think I could have a bad shot or two coming!
Got home after 2pm and took a BIG NAP

Ouch. Sorry to see, Will. You ok?
Was roped into a brief pre-class reunion gathering down town, but successfully avoided the actual reunion. We jumped in the Vette and went for a ride up to Dawn's parents' and had dinner with them, her brother and his g/f. Coming back, we took a ride across the lakes and then out for ice cream. I was informed later that a couple of class members came over to our house to get me, so leaving was the correct choice. Unless it has to do with cars, I pretty much avoid all social gatherings anymore.
Getting psyched for Friday to go pick up the new toy. We're going to hitch up the trailer and leave fairly early. The owner has to go into work at 11:00 a.m. and we have just about a 3 hour ride to get there. Hope the weather stays nice so we can bring her back, get her registered and at least take a quick spin before we head south for a wedding. I already have it insured effective Friday and just need a plate to go down the road legally. Here's a teaser (note my mad Paint skills):

Looks good. Is it all original? One thing I like the most about them cars was the Split Bumper set up.
Maybe do some work around the pool today to finish a few things. Also need to address a leaking oil catch can on the Trans Am.

Best guess is that it was originally a base model 307 c.i. 2 bbl. It is now sporting a rebuilt 350 engine, Edelbrock intake and carb, some rusty headers and has later model wheels, albeit still in 14". The trans is a 2 speed (originally column shifted) Powerglide onto which has been grafted a floor mount ratchet style shifter. Car was originally blue and now sports a decent coat of black, with one front fender having been replaced.

Just gave the Corvette a bath. We got sprinkled on running up to Tioga yesterday and she was a bit spotted. Going to move things around in the pole building and stuff one of the project cars in the back. Have to prep the Suburban for its ride on Friday, but before all this can happen we are heading up the road for my mother's birthday luncheon.
Beautiful day here.

Just to correct a few things and drive it. Not one I want to take completely apart anytime soon. It'll be Dawn's toy though, so whatever she wants to do with it I am game.

Went up to the building this afternoon and, as hoped, I was able to move some cars around. 'Burb is at the house now for its pre-flight inspection. I have to replace one of the contacts in the connector for the winch hookup. Over the winter, it basically corroded away and there is just a stub left. The replacement connectors now come with a dust cover so must be I'm not the only one that had this issue.

4lbs of Crab Legs and corn on the cob along with cheddar bay biscuits for supper...
Watching some NHRA drags and headed for bed soon.. Had to laugh the Funny Cars are going .868 in 60' and almost 200 mph faster than me in the 1/8. Hahahahahaha..Hell one just spun the tires just out of the hole and still ran a low 10 @ 70 mph. I got to get to see them this fall when they hit PA.
