Compression
So, I've read in various places that the 5.3 L truck heads will raise compression, but will flow better than our stock heads. My question is how much do they raise compression. Also, how strongly related is compression to hp and tq. How high can we safely go on 93 octane without having to pull a ton of timing, which would be defeating the purpose?
Has anyone ever heard of anyone running a combo of the Lunati 12.5:1 rotating assembly and a set of state2 5.3L heads, and a big, but reasonably street/strip cam?

I run the 5.3L heads. It raises your CR to 10.75:1 with stock gaskets. I'm not exactly sure how much potential HP is there per tenth of CR. I do know that I fought and am still fighting detonation with my setup all summer but I doubt that's due to CR. It's most likely my tune which pretty much sucks.
