Leaning WS-6?
Okay, I bought my car July 13th. Friday, July 13th. I've had to do brakes, air conditioner, front main seal, pinion seal, tires... etc. Well, recently I have noticed that it leaned slightly to the right when viewed from behind. Then, a few days ago, I was driving along at a comfortable 30 mph here in georgetown, minding my own fckin business at about 11:00 at night and out of nowhere I hit a giant ass pot hole with my right side. Now when I turn to the left I get a severe creaking noise from the right front wheel as well as a little difficulty steering. The front right corner of the car sits lower now, too, so the lean is much more noticeable.
I probably need ball joints. K. What else should I do?

ttt... think a panhard rod should be installed? new bushings?
i got the endlinks on the front swaybar replaced and it's all good as far as driving and noise, but the lean is still there.
it looks like the rear might be a little out of alignment, the back left wheel sticks out a little farther than the back right. this could concievably be causing the lean by allowing the weight on the right side to be slightly more than the left.
since the panhard rod's job is to keep the rear aligned, i should go for that... right?

I believe the leaning is normal. A lot of people have posted on this site about their cars leaning. I am one of them. They probably need to make the explanation a sticky. Last week I found something on the internet that I believe is the answer as to why many of our F-Bodies lean to one side, while others do not. I posted it since it made a lot of sense, but no one commented so I assumed everyone thought I was just blowin' smoke.
My car leans a little more than 3/4 inch to the passenger (right) side. It bugs me, but I took it to the alignment shop and they said everything looks great. They looked at the ENTIRE suspension and the chassis to see if there was damage etc. but it all checked out fine.
I think it's time to get a vanity plate that says "ILEAN".Last edited by Mr. Anderson; 09-25-2007 at 02:09 PM.
