Flexplate & starter
Please bring me up-to-speed about the GM flexplate adapter. [part number of spacer & bolts] So that a powerglide and SFI flexplate can be installed.
Also, what is being used in reference to starters? Is the Delco starter capable of starting a 12.1 compression 370 CI [4.030 x 3.622] or, is an aftermarket starter a better choice?

The flexplate spacer I am speaking of goes between the flexplate and the crankshaft. Bolts pass thought the flexplate and though spacer into the crankshaft. Thus, spacing the flexplate rearward to use a 1st gen trans and converter.

The "Suggested Parts" link to the right of the adapter description had the flexplate info and another link for bolts. You'll have to do some checking though as it does not appear that a Powerslide is listed.
