Waterpump heater core block offs....
I deleted my AC and I was wondering what people have used or seen used to block off the heater core ports on the waterpump.

you want to allow the coolant to still travel, so you cant just block off the ports....generally people just use a piece of the factory plumbing and route one port over to the other.

the only problem you might encounter if you are doing a bypass is that the outputs from the water pump are two different sizes. You might have to make a reducer. If the hose is close enough you might be able to crank the clamps down to seal good.

I'll look again then and see if I can just crank the hose down.

Make sure you pressure test it. Sometimes it looks fine but once pressure and heat build up it starts to leak.

You either buy a tester kit or rent one at the auto parts store. You connect the adapter were the radiator cap goes and using the hand pump pump it to the psi rating on your radiator cap. If you don't have a leak the pressure will hold. If the gauge goes down some then there is a leak somewhere. You have to be careful to not over pressure it.
