Are you guys doing these motor replacements by yourself?
I had the door apart and could not feasibly see a way to get the motor back there and hold it in place while bolting back up. So I put the damn door back together and took it too a shop. My passenger side is now going and I want to do this myself. Am I gonna need a buddies help?

I did mine myself. Might make things a lil easier with a buddy but is easy too do alone. I got mine from chinazone with the whole lifetime warranty deal and so far so good.

You can do it - to get the motor back there just remove the speaker.

It is pretty easy. I drilled out the old rivets(Yes I drilled through the fiberglass to get to the rivet), slid the new one into place figured that I couldn't get a rivet gun back in there and just used bolts and locknuts on the existing holes. took about 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Whats the story with the motor mod that makes it roll up faster? Something about doing away with a safety on the motor?
