LSX Project
Has anyone done an LSX project? I am looking for what the cost usually is. I found a guy somewhat near me and it looks pretty cool! http://www.engineeredvictories.com/LsXProject2.html

Doing the labor yourself and not skimping on parts (I don't want anything to die due to me trying to save money), my spread sheet for my dream of an APS Twin Turbo 427 (LSX Iron Block) came out to a total of about $24,000 for the motor and turbo kit.
You then have to think about upgrading the Transmission, Rear, Clutch, Suspension, etc.
My entire build came out to a grand total of $32790.16, and I don't think I even have everything I need on my list I keep finding new stuff on LS1Tech and I add it to my spreadsheet. I've come to grips with how much I'm going to spend and I'm not going to let this dream die because of cost (my fiance already approved it ).
Anyway...research what you need to do first then start buying, if you go into this blind then you're going to spend a lot of money on stuff you either don't need or will replace*.
*I'm not buying anything for my car right now that I won't use in my TT 427 build...I'm resisting the urge of even throwing a cam and heads on my car cause I feel taht it's just wasted money that I could be saving for my end build
