Gas Gauge
Well I have a 95 formy, 6 speed..... I usually get pretty good gas mileage, but here lately its been real shitty... I put in $25 dollars in 2 days ago which got me roughly 8 gallons, and my gas gauge is completely on E and i've only gone 19 miles.... How is this possible, I've only driven the car 3 times since I put the gas in it, im scared to even start it up thinkin that its gonna die on me..

but i do this with my chevy semi truck when some guages arnt going to well.
1. turn the key to on but dont start. then turn off.
2. same thing and wathc the guage go down lil at a time tell its right. if you know there lots of gas in it. it worked for me for a lil but started a gaing months later.
doing it that way makes the cluster thinks it starting at 0 or smething

and if that doesnt work you can always take the needel off the cluster and ster it back a lil bit if you know its right ( by popping it off and placing it a lil back from its current position)

I would have to dig up the info for the LT1's but I *think* those senders used 0-90 ohms. You could always check the harness coming out of the tank to verify what your sender is saying and what your gauge is saying. That would at least let you know if the gauge is reporting what it's getting from the sender. From the sounds of it I agree with what someone else said and would check for leaks first. 8 gallons should've put you ~ a half tank. Did the gauge show that when you fueled up and now it's showing on empty 19 miles later? That's either some of the worst gas mileage I've ever heard of or a leak.....I'd check for a leak definitely if you're sure the gauge is reporting correctly.
