Navy Blue Metalic- 2000 Z-28
Want remote start kit. Any recommendations?
I would like to get a remote start / keyless entry alarm system with the 2 way remote so i can know when my alarm goes off but im not sure who makes a good product. Does anybody have any recommendations? Also i need one that works with a manual trany. Ive heard Viper is good but they are pretty expensive.
Thanks!

Red- 1967 GTO
I put a Valet system in my truck and I love it. It along with the Viper, Python systems are all made by DEI Electronics.

Will the car actually try to start if its in gear? Or is there a safety in case its in gear?

If it's done right. I'd think it wouldn't try and start but I've seen a couple people with manuals that it started in gear and took off rolling forward.

Man, the dude at the shop I went to said they can't do this for a M6.

He doesn't know what he's talking about. You have to override the clutch safety switch which keeps you from starting the car without pressing in the clutch pedal. They may not do it though for safety reasons of people accidently starting the car in gear.

i just installed a remote start on my 1998 WS6 with a 6 speed the system i have makes it to where if you are going to remote start it you have to push the start button while the engine is still running with the key then shuts the engine off after you exit the car so you cant leave it in gear cause then you wouldnt be able to get out of the car but it makes it a pain in the ass if you want to start it cause you have to push the button put the e brake on take it out of gear take the key out then shut the door. after that if the door is opened or anything then it wont start till you go through all that crap again.
