Slow acceleration
I am currently deployed and am keeping the girl in storage while im gone. my wife starts it and drives it around the block on the 1st of the month to keep it in good working order. Today she noticed that it was accelerating slower than normally and from her explanation i cant really put my finger on whats causing this to happen. She told me that she had to depress the peddle about half way for you to get the same response of barely touching it before. However she did say that the gas is on E right now so im guessing some kind of fuel issue. any help on clarifying this would be much appreciated. And shes a 2005 with 57k on it if that helps any.

Is it tuned? I believe the 05/06 cars go into "limp mode" if they're not tuned properly. Have the wife put a few gallons of 93 octane and see if the symptoms persist.

Hmmm...hopefully it didn't suck up some junk from the bottom of the tank.

put some lucas in with more fuel and problem is solved. i guess the fuel pump could have sucked up some gunk/air and made the acceleration slower.

Good. If this worked, start filling up the tank when you get above the first red hash mark on the fuel gauge. This will prevent a similar situation from happening again in the future.
