I would not waste your money on them, just save for better mods. I have never used them but I have a buddy that did not like it, he took it off. I have been told they help out better on the LS1.

if anything go to an electric water pump, will increase the efficiency of the motor without messing with the length of the serpentine or how the alternator runs or anything

I have an electric pump.. I liek it but I suggest going heavy duty for a little exstra cooling for highway speeds during the summer. Also, electric pumps dont give you any warning if/when they stop. Thats a draw back. LT1's are bad about warping the heads if they get too hot too. And its hard to always notice your temperature gauge too. Your engine can get hot in an instant. So gotta be careful with electric. I have not really figured out what I am going to do yet, because I have had mine for about 3 years I think.. maybe 2 ..and they are only good for x number of hours.. like 3 years or so. So do I spend $250 more again on another waterpump when the one i have is working? Is it worth a few extra horses? A stock pump lasts maybe 8 years or more. hmmm

I thought you can send an electric pump back to the manufacturer to be rebuilt and that is usually costs less than $100 including shipping?
