96 z28 6speed help
alright i have a 1996 z28 6speed Lt1 as of now i just bought an ls1 out of a 1998 camaro it was also a 6speed car but i only got the motor will this motor bolt straight up to my transmission if not what all am i going to need and what all will i need for the motor swap help needed fast!!!!

no, i believe that you will need an Ls1 t-56 6-spd to mate to the Ls1 engine you bought. i think there are design differences. go over to Ls1tech and browse there for more solid answers...not only on the transmission but you will need the PCM and wiring harnesses as well for the swap too...

I believe its just the bell housing.
Did you get the wiring harness and ecu as well?

I think the input shaft also is different.

the input shaft is different between the 2 u can change it but only if u know how u could have shop do it they sell it at thegearbox

1994 Z28 MQBM- 2001 SS #1629 LPM
+1 on the BH and input shaft. The mounting holes are totally different as they are designed different.

You will need:
1. Bell Housing
2. Front Plate
3. Input shaft
4. Slave & master cylinder
5. Clutch Kit
Local shop here in DFW did the swap for $150 and they replaced the syncro's while in there for another $50......
