Nice sounding muffler on completaly stock camaro
What would be a good sounding muffler to get on my 2000 ls1 z28? Btw my car is completaly stock exept for a k&n air filter on original lid. The reason why I want a muffler only to replace my oem one is because a catback would be kinda pricy right now for my budget and thats also a reason why my car is still stock, so that would be something to consider as well but i still want my car to have a meaner sound. I been kind of interested on the new cherry bomb vortex. I heard it has a nice sound and great flow as well but I would like to get more opinions. If any of you guys have that muffler let me know how it sounds or on any other brands that might be good as well. Any opinions would be apreciated

For a bone stock car a TSP Rumbler catback (around $280) sounds nice but if you start doing mods it will get really loud and really raspy.
Also check out www.ls1sounds.com it has a lot of different exhausts on stock manifolds and y-pipe you can listen to.

A bullet or round style muffler dumped would be the cheapest.
Brands made in that style-magnaflow,slp,borla,etc,etc

you are right. I also thought about putting 2 glasspacks cause I heard them and they sound nice. The bad thing is that I would have to split my y pipe in 2 on the rear of my car to do that and I'm not that sure on how to

Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
I don't find that site helpful at all. There are just too many variables involved to get an accurate sound of the exhaust from the video.
Is it windy, how close is the camera to the car, what's the volume on the camera, how are the user's computer speakers, what's the volume on the speakers, etc. The list goes on and on.
I spent hours on that site and was just as confused as ever.
To the OP, for a direct fit muffler, I hear that Magnaflow and Hooker Aerochamer or Maxflow are a good way to go.

Ive had Magnaflow, Hooker and Flowmaster and i have to admit the Hooker sounds a bit louder then Magnaflow but to me that sounds just right.
