99 z28 184000 miles??
Is 5500.00 to much for a Z28 with 184000 miles? it sounds and looks great. Just makes me nervous buying one with that kind of mileage. It is a one owner 6 speed car.

Yep, I think that's too much of an asking price for that car.

I really appreciate the input...sometimes you get tunnel vision and make a big mistake.

Do'nt feel bad we've all made them. Hell I bought an 89 RS once on looks alone (I was 19). Biggest pos f-bod I've ever owned. Was back @ the dealer for service in less than 24 hours. Slipping trany, busted trany mount, door locks that would go crazy and lock/unlock like it had turrets all by it's self..Came out after a good rain to find the rear floor (both sides) with like 2 inches of standing water (T-top leaked like a fountain).

Keep searching around for cars being sold by people and not dealers. Dealers will mark up the car and usually try to hid alot more then regular people. Also dealers just feed you the BS you wanna hear. I went to look at an SS that was "bone stock". The guy sat there and explained how the body kit that said "XION" on it was factory, the aftermarket exhaust was factory, and that there were special tires put on it because Camaros dont hold a spare tire. Was funny when i pointed out where the spare tire was and that someone messed with the AC compressor.
Anyway, if you have links to a Camaro or whatever your interested in, post it! Im sure people on here will give you feedback (weather you want it or not)

Too much for sure with that kind of mileage. Any time you are wanting to know value of a car, look it up under kelly blue book or NADA. That will give you an idea of market value for the vehicle.

To be honest i feel that the NADA and KBB prices are usually very off. I found a Z28 last year with 160k,6 speed, leather, and T-Tops and the dealer wanted 9k. KBB and NADA were damn close to that price. You cant subtract the little things on there like the peeling rims or the fact that you can clearly see (if you know what your looking at) that it was in an accident even though the carfax wont show it. Just remember that those sites are there to guide you, you still have to research local prices.

Well Im gonna go against the grain here. It depends on the car. Yes 184K is a lot of miles, but what kind of condtion is the car in? My car has 175K on the clock and is in exellent conditon. It runs like a bat out of hell, eats SRT's for lunch. It doesn't smoke the interior is almost perfect, zero leaks and has been extremly well maintained. Its got some really nice bolt ons and is a weekend car and sleeps in the garage. There is no way in hell I would let it go for $3500 bucks. I think its premature to say well its got high miles so it must be a piece of crap and not worth anything. Don't get me wrong make sure your getting a good deal, make sure you do some looking around. I've seen cars with a lot less mileage than mine in a lot worse condtion. This car may not be worth $5k but depending on who owned the car you may be getting a deal if you can work out a fair price.
