155mph for the first time
so i was getting on the highway and this turbo saab got on my ass and was fuckin with me earlier before we got on
when i got on (ahead of him ) i got in the left lane and slowed down to around 30-40mph in 3rd gear (shoulda been in 2nd)
instead of pulling up next to me like a real man he give a ricer flyby and i procede to flor it and close the gap
once he topped out or let off, ( i didnt see brake lights) i pass him doin around 130-140, and before i know it i look down at the spedo and its just about at the little pin past 155mph
it didnt even seem like i was going that fast, it handled well and i had the top down to boot, i could deffinitely hear the wind tho.
so i finally did it i maxed out the SS top end, it took a year to grow the ballsLast edited by ss~zoso~ss; 03-13-2006 at 01:23 PM.

according to this mph calculator i was doing roughly 5200 RPMs in 5th gear at 155, which would be 3400 RPMs in 6th gear!, if somehow we were able to redline 6th gear in our cars we'd be going 277 mph

Doing that kind of speed on a public road is just nuts. You are lucky you didnt kill someone. I hope if you ever try that again, that the police catch you and take your license away.

hopefully someday i'll be doin 130ish at track!!Last edited by 98_Formula; 03-13-2006 at 07:48 PM.

Yeah guys, relax. As long as there wasn't anyone else close by, who cares? He was only endangering himself, and it's not even that unsafe, these cars a made for this. A quick run up to speed and back down again in no traffic isn't half as bad as some of the things we all see people do in the middle of traffic almost every day. I think you guys are coming down on him hard just because he's 17. SS ZOSO SS, as long as you're smart about it, it's ok to have fun in your car every once in a while. Lord knows I've stretched my SS's legs a few times. So long as you're smart about it that's all.

Heh, when I had my M6 LT1 I did it a couple of times, it rides soooo smooth you're right. Even with the top up you'd have been hearing some wind. . .
Yeah 5th redlined (dotted red not solid) in my LT1 at about 155 which is 5300 I think, it's not quite redline for an LS1 though. Did you even stick it in 6th? It's gutless at that speed at such low RPM, you'll climb but not very fast. It's pretty awesome how easy it pulls all the way through 5th

Yea, I was racing my buddy in his Lightning, I kept pulling and pulling, so I let off doing about 135, about a half a mile ahead i see the light of a crown vic in the rear view, so he proceeded to flip on the lights after catching up to me. He pulled over my buddy too. We would have gotton both of our cars towed, both been thrown in jail, and shit load of tickets, but the cop that pulled us over (there were like 10 cops there) let us go because he knew my dad from the police academy about 20 years ago!!!!! We are lucky sons of bitches, but that is as fast as I have taken the WS6!!

heh fastest I've gone in mine is 75, of course I've only had it a few days, and it's not even titled or registered... Oh and the tires are shot too! Just bought it and I'll have to buy tires, new headlights, and a new front clip (with paint).

well if your tire diameter is 25.7 like mine, and you have 3.42 gears, in a m6 with a .74 5th ratio, according to this site, you would have beendoing around 210 mph
