Value of Single Outlet exhaust WS6???
Well, I'm in the market for another trans am. Been looking around and found this:

I realize the single outlet exhaust is somewhat rare. I'm wondering how rare? Would this TA be likely to hold its value because of the exhaust?

There are a few things I like about the car and a few things I'd like to change.
Good mileage on it.
I'd rather have black interior.
If I'd purchase, I'd replace the exhaust, but of course I would save the old one.
I guess I'm worried that the '98s are showing their age now. My last TA was a '98 and was a great car. Any reason I should be weary of this one?

No, it will not hold its value any better because of the single exhaust. The 98 LS1 is the least desired of the LS1 F-bods

Oh, no doubt it ugly as f*ck. Just wondering if in 20 years, is it gonna be worth anything?

nah i have no idea why they would do it in the first place... looks retarded. It will not add any value to the car, maybe if the car had VERY low miles and was mint and it was going to be kept that way for 20 years.
These cars are meant to be driven til the wheels fall off... fuck future value.

All the 98' WS.6's and SS's had the single exhaust. Not the best look but it flowed and sounded better than the duals that replaced it. No it's not rare or worth any more. As for 98's some guys bag on them but they have a bigger cam and injectors than the 99 and 2000 cars. Just some of them had very sensitive knock sensors and there are less tuning options. My 98's runs like a champ with 112,000 miles on it and a buddy of mine has had a couple of 98's that were 10 second cars. Not a damn thing wrong with the 98's.

Its a 1998 4th gen f-body with 61k miles.... its a daily driver.
If you want something to keep in you garage and never drive and sell for double its value in 30 years, buy an original 1st gen or a ferrari.
