Things Trans Am's wont clear
Add racoons to that list. I hit one doing between 110-115 last night. The entire rear end of the car came off the ground. Just a small hairline crack in the area around the foglight like an inch long and it had hair jammed into so bad I had to use pliers to get it out, luckily from three feet away you can't even see it. And my chrome liscense plate bracket on the front was a total loss. It was bent really bad. When I drop my car off at the mechanic on monday I'll have to tell him to find out what the hell is rattling in the rear now, I think their might be half a coon still in the back! Sounds kind of like when you have a baseball car in the spoke of a bike tire. My friend got one pinned around in his wheel well before, so it's possible there is a piece on my drive shaft or something. I gotta drive into work tonight, I can't wait to see what he looks like. I imagine the top half missing.

oh man I got a good one.... a....wait are you ready for this.... a tire off a trailer somebody was hauling, no rim, ran it right over at 95 mph, had no choice I was passing a semi... worst sound I've ever heard in my life. Thankfully all it did was bend the cross member that's goes over the exhaust...

Burple- 1966 427 Cobra Replica
A T/A might, but I know my SS won't clear an armadillo. Nowhere to swerve so I just went right over him. You could hear the shell crunching as the left front went over him and he bounced around under the driver's side undercarriage...

add to list:
that one dip in the jimmy john's parking lot. yup, before I had time to swerve or even see it, I hear the dreaded gut wrenching scraping crunching sound of the chin spoiler meeting the pavement. man, I gotta remember that one, I dont wanna hit it again

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Worst I ever had was in my 67. I decapitated a seagull at 35 mph with the bottom part of the subframe. Damn thing flew right in front of my car down low. It took putting it on a lift to get all the bird guts, blood and feathers off of the underside of the car

I still can't find the rattle. My exhaust is the lowest thing under there but that isn't it. I know 15 pounds hitting an axle at 110-115 would have a wack to it, but no way it could have done internal damage to an axle could it?
I really hope the previous owner of my car never sees it again. When I bought it, the thing was garage stored year round, never ever seen winter, and only drove it in the rain when they did not know it was going to rain. The thing was mint.
