Cutouts
Finally got my duel electric cut outs installed today.
I got the Low-profile DMH ones.
They sound great, but ran into a few problems.
With the cutouts closed I have no problems getting on it, when its open it and I get on it, it feels like it sputters a little bit and I hear this big bang like someone is throwing a lot of rocks on the car.
Anyone else had this problem?
Also as far as performance wise, is it better to run with them open or closed?
I dont have access to a dyno right now to see which is better off.
Another question is, I will be doing some street tuning soon, should I tune with them open or closed?

I have the same kinds but just one.
I just hear them open and shut. No weird noises
Rattles in the pipes that just need to be tightened. But other than that I've had no problems with mine. Had them installed in may.

I had a single on my LT1 and it made no crazy noises like that. Perhaps get the car up off the ground and have a buddy rev on it while you watch or somethin'.

Well the reason why I have 2 of them is cause of the true duels.

If something isn't mechanically wrong, your tune might just be too lean for the cutouts causing a popping/cracking

I would guess performance will be better with them closed.

I have them before the Xpipe.
I have an LT1 with full bolt ons, I do have a wideband but it broke so ima need a new one so I can see what my AFR is.
I do think it is a little lean so I will just have to wait and see.
You think after the tune if I can get like a 12.7-13.1 AFR it would help performance from a dig at WOT?
