For anyone who cares to hear more "Fergie in the news"
London, March 14: 'The Black Eyed Peas' star Fergie was recently barred from boarding an aeroplane after she was found in inebriated state.
The 31-year-old singer was to fly from Los Angeles to Britain with the members of her band, but the airline staff stopped her on noticing that she was slurring her words and could hardly stand.
Witnesses to the whole incident tell that Fergie, who has battled booze and drugs, raged at the officials upon which her friends had to pull her away.
"She was falling all over the place and had to be supported. She was in no state to fly. But when she was prevented from boarding she couldn't believe it," the Mirror quoted an eyewitness as saying.
"She was drunkenly ranting at staff but could barely string a sentence together. It was very embarrassing," the witness added.
Sources said that the last Sunday's Virgin Atlantic flight took off one hour late than its scheduled time because Fergie's luggage was being removed.
They also revealed that two of the band members had to stay behind with the singer.
Upon her landing at the Heathrow airport, Fergie looked tired and she was escorted through the airport by a Virgin Atlantic employee and whisked away by a record company aide.
The singer refused to comment on the issue.
"She's not making any comment. That's enough," her aide said.
Virgin Atlantic has, however, said that they can confirm that a woman had been barred from flying.
"We can confirm a female passenger was denied boarding as she appeared intoxicated and therefore unsuitable for travel," said the company.
