knock,oil on plugs,burrning oil?
i have a 2001 camaro ss and i got the car with 2,300 mi and day one the car had a knock at 1500 to 2500 rpms and thay said bring it back when u have more miles on it so i did at 4,000,6,000,8,000,ect now i have 18,000 on it and it is bad it knocks cold and hot all day long .i took the plugs out and some of them were covered in oil i put new ones in.i also know it burns oil about 1qt to 2qts every oil change there is no leaks on the outside of the moter. smoke comes out black/blue so it is at chevy and thay said thay here the knock and thay looked at the plugs and there was oil on them and to know what is doing it thay want to tear it apart and see what is causing it but before that can do it thay want me to give them 1500 and if thay find ne thing wrong then my warantty will pay but if not i pay theme 1500 more to get it put back together i dont know what too do HELP

A lot of 01-02 cars have this problem. You should check out your PCV system first and make sure everything is working correctly. Another thing that helps a lot is installing a catch can in the pcv line. When oil is being drawn back into the engine, it's not only getting burned up and creating the smoke that you are seeing, but it is diluting the air/fuel mixture and causing spark knock. You can make your own catch can setup with parts from home depot/lowes and it should solve your problem.

Do you need some sort of filter element in the catch can or will just any sort of deeper-well element inline before the TB work?
