    how to match heads with cam???

    Im a n00b when it comes to this.....
    How do heads match a cam....
    Like for instance i have a torquer v2 232/234 .595/.598 113lsa......
    So with heads am i lookin for slightly higher exhaust flow on em?

    Lol i have no clue im just takin a guess

    TSP PRC LS6 Stage 1s.They really woke my TV2 like 50HP back when I use to run that cam. Damn your running a Vig 3500. You go boy you might as well pickup some Goodyear stock cause your gonna be melting alot of rubber.

    when people make that reference, they are basically telling you to have a custom speced cam made. the cam designer will take all of your components into account when designing the cam. this is supposed to net you better overall power versus an off the shelf grind.

    X2 for the custom grind route. Pick your favorite cam maker. Find their number (make sure you know the basic specs on your vehicle). Then give them a call. Most of the time a custom grind will be the same cost and it will be 100% right as long as you are honest with yourself. The alternative is a cam that may or may not work well with your other mods. They are going to ask you stuff about vehicle weight and all of your mods. How important idle quality is? How do you normally drive? The last two questions are the most important because if you tell them you are only in it for a high-rpm cam and you normally use the low and mid rpm band it is gonna suck. The situation is the same in reverse. Also you need to consider your states emissions laws if you have them.

    ok everyone seems to just be telling you to match your cam to your mods and in your case your torquer cam is a really good choice with your stall and headers and that is really what is most important. Now with your heads all you are going to need is something that flows better overall (correct me if im wrong) Meaning get a nice set of port and polished heads with some oversized valves such as the patriots and you will be just fine. Other things you want to consider however with heads isnt so much the cam but if you are running a N/A engine nitrous, or super?turbocharger in which case you would need to know the chamber size of the heads so that you know what kind of compression ratio you will get. That will also coincide with pistons if you go that route farther down the line. Forced induction like a lower C/R and nitrous and N/A motors like a higher C/R
