    LS conversation-steam line to radiator

    Hi All,
My first post. Looking for some help/advice on running the steam line to the cooling system.
I am retrofitting an 05 GTO LS in my 57 Chev. I have a down flow radiator (wanted the old school look) which has an open port in the bottom tank.
Is it acceptable to run the steam line to the bottom of the radiator? If not what would be the acceptable location(s) to tie back into the cooling system?
    Thanks, Mike

I did some more digging and found many opinions on this subject. So taking all those inputs in, I decided to not use the port (still not sure whether that would be good or bad). I found several suppliers manufacturing a “hose splice” for the upper radiator hose which includes a 1/4 hose nipple or 1/8 NPT female thread where a 1/4 nipple could be added.
I surmised that it would be best to enter the cooling system in the same area as GM did, at the top of the radiator.
Thought I would post something since I did not receive any feedback and perhaps other's have the same conundrum and what I found seemed to be a good and inexpensive solution.
    Thanks
