A son's bad dream
A man goes into his son's room to wish him goodnight. His son is having a nightmare. The man wakes him and asks his son if he is ok? The son replies he is scared becasue he dreamt that Auntie Susie had died. The father assures his son that Auntie Susie is fine and sends back to bed.
The next day, Auntie Susie dies
A week later the man again goes into his sons room to wish him goodnight. Again, his son is having another nightmare. The man wakes his son. This time his son says that he dreamt his grandfather had died. The father assures his son that his grandfather is fine and tucks him back into bed.
The next day, Grandfather dies.
The following week, yet again the son is having a nightmare when his father walks in to wish him goodnight. The man wakes his son and asks him if he is alright. This time the son says that he dreamt his father had died. The father assures the boy that he is alright and sends the boy back to bed.
The man goes to bed but cannot sleep because he is so terrified by what his son had just dreamt. The next day the man is fearing for his life, scared to death. After dressing for work he drives very cautiously to work fearful of a collision. He doesn't eat his lunch, fearing food poisoning. He avoids everyone for he is sure he will be killed. He jumps at every noise, startled at every movement. He hides under his desk all day.
Finally, upon walking through his door at home, he tells his wife " Good GOD dear!" he says, "I've just had the worst day of my life!"
His wife looks at him and says, "You think your day was bad? The milkman dropped dead on our doorstep this morning"

Wow. Missed that one completely. I questioned the "my father" part, too.
Thanks. I'll go back to my corner.
