    Got a new job pretty excited, It's gonna be good to finally get out of inner city detroit. looking online at apartments down that way now......any recommendation on apartments in the virginia/maryland/dc area?

    perhaps this can narrow the field for you, ...

    virginia = free state.
    dc/maryland = free state, ...but only for criminals, both of the conventional and the political type...

    Maryland is cheaper than VA in certain areas, plus the commute is less. I hope you like traffic. I live in Rockville, it's decent and my commute is short. The car community in MD is better as well.
