Gold- 1970 Pontiac Firebird
VIN Location
I am looking at buying a 1985 Trans Am, the problem is that it was apparently stolen a while back and is missing the VIN plate that goes under the windshield. I know there is a fairly tedious process involved in getting that taken care of... I was wondering if I could figure out if/where a second VIN might be if that might make the process a lot easier. That being said where should I be looking for a second VIN? Any help I can get with this is greatly appreciated, as the sooner I can help this guy get the VIN taken care of the sooner I can buy it. ^^

Yeah... I only talked to the owner for a few minutes... I am trying to do as much research as I can before I go and talk to him again so if anything else comes up I can get it resolved as quickly as possible...
So no one knows where on the frame or anywhere else for that matter a second VIN number might be on an 1985 Trans AM?

look in the glove box for the option and service parts sticker and or if your lucky enough there might be one on the drivers door. Another possible but remote chance would be on the back of the block some where.
