leaky t-tops
last night i took my car to the car wash, and noticed for the first time that i have a leak on my passenger side t-top. its where the t-top meets the window/body towards the back of the car..i know i need the sub frame connectors to help prevent that but now that the damage is done, how do i fix it? i know i dont have much rain to worry about down in san diego anytime soon but i dont want any flaws in my car..

I always get a few drops on my arm on the drivers side when it rains really hard - done it since new, and have SFCs. Was it one of those "touchless" car washes?

those "touchless carwashes" need to use harsh chemical to break down the dirt since they dont touch your car. These chemicals are hard on your paint. I would highly recommend washing your car by hand, by you.

Wouldn't worry about some water intrusion then - my car came with an "Important information about your Camaro/Firebird" folder warning against using them on T-top cars. Some are like 1K psi or something. Wash it yourself, it never rains in southern California.

if ur car is black i dont recomend washing by hand...
if you do, clean your rag every stroke..if you dont it will swirl, and have horizontal scratches that go with your hand stroke..
just my thought, but a hand pressure washer i think is the way to go
