    New stage 2 headache

Alright so heres the deal I was having clutch problems, so i decided its time for an upgrade. I bought a spec stage 2 clutch, new flywheel, new pilot bearing, and new throwout bearing. I replaced them all and still didnt fix the problem. I then bought a new slave and master to see if that would fix it. I tried to bleed out the system for hours and the clutch felt good. I finally gave up and had the car brought to a shop. $606.6 later he told the pilot bearing was garbage. The clutch feels fine but shifting into gears is rough. Reverse will grind and finally will pop into gear. My car also rolls a little when in gear and clutch pressed to the floor. I understand i need to break in the clutch and its gonna take a couple 100 miles. Im lost, anybody have any clues is to why its rolling or grinding into reverse.

The clutch isn't fully disengaged from the engine. Thats why it grinds and is hard to get into gear. If you are certain all the air is out of the hydrualics, then you might have to shim the slave.

I already have the shim that came with the kit. I think your right about it not disengaging all the way. anymore ideas?

If there is a lot of friction between the pilot bearing and the input shaft (ie bad pilot bearing), that'll keep the input shaft and counter shaft spinning at or near the engine rpm and is simular to the clutch not fully disengaging.
Also some people say they needed an adjustable clutch master cylinder to be able to make there aftermarket clutch setups work properly.

I replaced the pilot bearing twice in the last month, but the adjusting the master cylinder makes sense. i'll give it a try and see if it works.
