Little H22 Turbo bummed out
So this guy has been riding me for YEARS about how when ya do this this and this he will have this much horse power, I mean I put u with this at lunch at the skool for so long, I'm the only one with pure muscle, they are all wanna be's, so anyway, 3 years later he FINALLY gets his h22 turbo'd...and the talk of the town was how he was going to finally race me. We went out the stretch, Dead stop, SMOKED him, 30K roll, SMOKED HIM, than he was bitchin and wineing his turbo wouldn't work until a higher RPM, so I gave him 60K. SEE YAAA
I later heard he blew his motor RIGHT UP trying to boost the PSI so he could catch me.

H22 is an impressive motor. For how old it is it kicks major ass. 200 HP out of a 4 cylinder 2.2L back in 93 was awesome. They made one with 220 HP out of the same 2.2L H22. From the Type S Prelude. Gotta hand them motors some respect. VTEC kicks hard and is fun too. But of course you'd kill that idiot. Now if it was properly taken care of and boosted I doubt it woulda been easy.

there are some nasty little all motor civics out here. I would never doubt any car, but if that kid new what he was doing and had it built correctly he most likely would have walked you out. What car was the H22 in, did he do a swap or was it in a pre-.

Yeah D15's are horrible. H22s are gods compared to them.

D series motors can take a lot of boost tho.....

They NEED a lot of boost to be anything. A H22 on 10 PSI can be a formidable force.

H22 has high HP and Low TQ where as a D series is a more torqie motor. H22 can have alot of power but getting that power to something useable is difficult and costly. But if i ever wana pick on someone with a 5.0 i always ask them "hey doesnt your car run the same numbers as a H22 Prelude stock?" worth a good laugh.

Dude the H22 is known as the honda torque engine. The only engine that has more torque is the F22 from the S2000. D15 SOHC torquless engine ftw.
