is corvette atomic orange the same as the pontiac sunset orange mettalic?

what do you all think a 30k mile 07 vert manual is worth?

whats a great price to buy it at?

or would you hold out a couple years for further z06 depriciation?

i only ask cause it's been so cloudy, I can't really tell what the color will look like in the sun, I really want a bright orange mettalic.

answering my own question.

seen em both today along with inferno orange.

needless to say, if you are a fan of the color orange, then inferno orange is awesome.

sunset orange isn't orange at all, it's a freak'n rust colored metallic.

atomic orange isn't orange either and looks different, lighter version of the rust metallic... but this car was also from FL and had obviously sat outside it's entire life because the black convertible top was showing fade to white in spots... that's the atomic orange.

needless to say, SOM is fugly, it ain't orange it's rust colored! LOL

SOM is the best color I've seen on a f-body. I would trade mine in a sec for equal condition.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. it's not really that bad, but I have no idea where they get orange out of it.

I have never seen a SOM car in person that had any hint of orange anywhere as I was looking at it. it kinda looks like some variation of orange in pictures that are either manipulated or taken with some sort of filter or just a cheap digital camera fluke, but they don'ty look like that in person to me, still no orange in them though.

SOM looks like 70's rust metallic to me. You may not have seen all of the earth tone cars from back then, but rest assured, SOM looks exactly like them der rust mettalic cars of yesteryear.

inferno orange... now thats orange.

just seen jetstream blue is not on the 2012 color chart. too bad, that's a nice color.

it's Sunset orange....meaning in direct sunlight it's supposed to represent the color of the sun setting, which it does.

Is the Corvette's Cyber Gray the same color as Cadillac's Thunder Gray?



Short answer...........no.

Before I ordered my new CTS coupe in Thunder Gray, I was hoping it would be the same as the Cyber, come to find out they are vastly different colors, and the Thunder Gray is worth very penny extra they charge you for it.
Just pointing out that GM does make similar colors, no thread jacking here.

I have not seen cyber gray.

years past, colors would sometimes transcend brands and models.

I've never seen cyber gray on a caddy so I wouldn't know what I was looking at.

Seen what looked like a ford sport utility today with a nice orange mettalic.

Still really like the inferno orange at chevy, but don't like the cashmere vert tops and interior, LOL thats what I'll probably end up with.

No one ever answered my question about fair price for the 07 atomic orange vet vert M6 with 25k on the clock though. seemed to have a slight rub top of driver door at front fender, little disconcerting there. black top black int, with really faded top.

This reminds me of GM colors "back in the day".

Pontiac called it "Carousel Red" on the GTO while Chevrolet called it "Hugger Orange" on the Camaro. They are identical...
