Ever notice...
Is it just me, or are all the cool (or at least performance geared) cars are always on the other side of the highway going the other direction.
Today I drove about 180 miles with the tops out..
I saw 3 maybe 4 C6s, and Viper, a porshe carerra (i think), a 350 Z, a few hooked up SRT 4s, and 03/04 Cobra..... Some nice crotch rockets too.
ON my side- I passed a V6 mustang, and some Mini vans. and some boring cars.
I understand that I see more going the other way, because I see all of them, but only the ones I pass on my side. but still...

Well, it's pretty simple really.
On your side of the road, people are probably driving around the same speed, give or take 10mph. That means the amount of different cars around you doesn't change that much.... if you're all going the same speed you might only see seven or so different cars, plus the additional one that overtakes all of you every minute.
But on the other side, there's probably a different car whizzing past you at a rate of about one car per second. That's a hell of a lot of cars, and the greater the amount of cars, it's more likely to see a car that isn't as common.
I guess things aren't as common sense as I see them to be

its simple statics like iroc said...
assuiming there is no big event where tons of tuners are headed then the law of averages says the numeber of performance cars travelling down each side of the highway will be be the same

Navy Blue Metallic- 1999 Trans-Am
I dunno, last night on the way home from the movies I traveled half way accross the city with two c5s and a pretty wild chevelle. The chevelle was trying to get all three of us other cars to go, but I knew I'd lose and I guess the c5s were thinking the same thing because the didn't want a peice of him either.

Variation on the OP...
It seems that whenever I see a nice car behind me by a few cars, that when I change lanes (from the fast lane) to let them catch up that they always take the next exit and I never see them again
...
Then I can never get back into the fast lane cause Maryland drivers are jack asses...
