    couldnt find dextron III in any store today

    wal-mart did not have it, advance was out, auto zone didnt carry it or o'reilys..........o I found generic stuff but did their factory blow up or something ?

    Probably just a coincidence.

    Your best bet is to get Dexron VI (6), its an improved version of Dexron ATF, both in performance and durability. Many different manufacturers make it, Castrol, Valvoline, ect. Its backwards compatible with Dex III, its just a better formula.
