Red Fire- 2007 Mustang GT/CS
Two New Stangs...Slain>>> by Po-Po
I was on the way to my In-laws sunday and I see two new Stangs. I think one was a gt500 and the other was definately a stage2 ish Rousch <sp?>
Both on Flatbeds ... Side by side. Two younger guys in handcuffs on the side of the road.. Three annoyed looking State Patrol Officers staring at them. One officer had that piss you off smirk going on..
These two were less then a half mile from a red light, which is really close to a Burgermaster that had, by chance a nice car show going on.....
Something tells me that these two caught a red light at the Burgermaster, and sought to impress everyone or run each other and got nailed for street racing..
Wonder if the state of Washington steals.. er confiscates your car for Street Racing...
That has to suck. Both of these cars were like new...
God I almost feel bad for em. Hell I do... Can you imagine having to pay off a 5-6 year note on a car the state either auctions or uses to bust others...
Not a kill for me per se.. but definately they got killed.

north of the border in Toronto. couple years back, we had a pretty bad street racing incident. and they wanted to make an example of it, so there was publicity everywhere. and then they demolished the cars in public, just to show the new zero tolerance on street racing.
the part of the story that was not publicized at all, and i mean you really have to look hard to find this part of story. the two guys got a couple real good lawyers, the city was taken down on some technicality/loophole, and the city had to award some approx $20,000-$30,000 to each guy to reimburse him for his highly modded ricer..... BAHAHAHA... needless to say they dont demolish cars anymore, they just impound them and suspend driver's licenses for a while.
In an adversarial legal system, with the right lawyer, you can do anythin.

thats kind of sucks. in cali its law they can crush your car for racing and in most cases the judge makes you go watch them do it.
i heard other states are working to pass the same law.
kinda makes you think twice. crash car are take it to the track.
thank god i don't live there!

but that kind of law would make me want to try to outrun cops... because if the penalty is watching my car get crushed, i would do everything i could to get away, and if i total car in process... oh well, it would have happened anyways. that would be my mentality. if it was a fine, i would stop and pay it. i think those laws just make people want to run.

those laws are fuckin lame...it would just make me wanna try to outrun the police. i mean id rather risk it then just give up my car like that. yeah id be in more trouble if caught but id let em know exactly why i decided to run. maybe itll show em that there just making the streets waaaay more dangerous

+1 I'd nail it to the floor and try to make a get away too. Fines are part of the game you expect to happen and should be willing to pay.

Your not crushing my car. I would rather total it in the process of fleeing. Dumbest law I have ever heard, who wouldn't want to nail it then. Stupid government, good thing WI isn't like that. That and I really don't race on the streets, at least not occupied streets that is.
