What else for more hp?
I have 1999 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 that I'm building into a somewhat mild drag racing car. I say "mild" because there are no plans in the near future to take it to 1000hp+. I have 3 sons and my oldest 2, who are 18 and 16, wanted to get into drag racing. I'm 44 and drag raced sportbikes and a few Foxbodies in my late teens thru my mid 20's. I gave it up after having my son when I was 25. I want to them learn something with a little less than 500whp and then if I want to get rowdy I can crankl the nitrous on. Anyway, I thought I'd seek out some advice on what else I can do right now on the motor to add a few more whp. The car is built for a shot and I will be adding a 200 shot in the near future but would like to do some NA runs with all motor, do some data logging, and then add the shot. But before I do all that, is there something you guys think I could add to bring the motor hp up some? Currently, 431whp and 399 wtq. It's an Auto car. Here's the build:
*Wilkes Heads: 799's CNC Ported with titanium valves
*ARP Head Bolts
*Yank SS4000 Stall Converter
*Tick Performance SNS Stage 2 Cam: 227/235, .618/.605 on a 110+3 LSA
*PAC .660 Dual Valve Springs
*GM Genuine LS7 Lifters
*Tick Performance Hardened 7.4 Pushrods
*GM MLS Head Gaskets
*Fast92 Intake Manifold
*TSP Long Tube Headers
*TSP Y-Pipe
*Blackwidow Widowmaker Catback
*Racetronix 255lph Fuel Pump
*Racetronix Hotwire Kit
*GTP 42lb Injectors
*Motive 373 Gears
*Built 4l60e Transmission
*BMR 1.5 Lowering Springs
*Speed Engineering Adj Torque Arm w/Safe Loop
*Midwest Chassis Non-Adj Lower Control Arms
*Midwest Chassis Lower Cont Arm Brackets
*Comp Engineering Rear Shocks 3 way Adj set to 50/50
*Midwest Chassis Welded In True Subframe Connectors
*Race Stare Bronze Wheels 17x4.5, 15x10
*Nitto Front: 205/50/17
*Nitto Rear: 275/60/15
Thanks for any suggestions!
