Ignition Orange/Black- 2008 G8 GT, 98 Z28 383
Jetta 1.8t
I was driving in the center lane on the interstate at about 75mph in the goat when I see a green jetta coming up fast as hell on my left. I dropped into 4th gear and immediately started pulling away from him. I let off at about 110 (about as fast as I will go) and this idiot comes flying by me flashing his lights. what a tool.

i'll let them catch up, then deny the flyby. then, i'll taunt them by goosing the pedal four or six times.

That's why your goat struggled to beat that Jetta. Notice the raw horsepower these 4 cylinders put out.

That's why you turn the boost up to 22psi on those cars, and they still just barely break 200whp.
The turbo is designed for daily driving. It's a substitute for the lack of displacement, and give the 1.8L a little extra torque. Other than that, turbo upgrade is needed to make some power.

Muscle cars/sports cars are designed to go fast usually with some comfort thrown in for added driving pleasure. Race cars are nearly the same with a mostly purely funtional interiors and hightened safely. So yes a muscle car/sports car could be considered a "race" car.
