Volt Problem
ok ive got a 99 z28 camaro. I have replaced the battery with an optima red top and a brand new alternator. My volts gague will go into the red when sitting at the red light with the a/c on and the radio is barley on. I hava an amp, a 12" sub , a capaciter and a kenwood kvt-617 dvd player with the 7" touch screen. it done the same thing before and after the amp and battery swap. wat could be wrong i need somewhere to start or is it normal.

Start your car and put a volt meter on your alternator and confirm your getting 14.4VDC.
Check to make sure you have the correct alternator in place.
Check for grounds or shorts.
Which can be a pain in the arss.
