Vibrating Headlamp?
Hey guys, my ‘birds passenger side headlamp assembly has been vibrating when I drive the car down the road. I knew the gear was going, so I thought it was that; now the gear died, and I brought the lamp up manually via that knob, and the headlamp is still vibrating going down the road.
Would the chewed up gears still do that, even with the lamp manually raised?

It's not the gear, it's the hinge bushing that pivots the light up.
Good luck finding a replacement.
I had to pull one from a salvage yard. I've yet to find a replacement bushing for it.

OK, the bushings didn’t fix it.
In the video I linked, I can see that the motor crank arm is allowing movement/play (so bad that the headlamp socket backs off, before I electrical taped it to the back of the bulb). This was present before and after I replaced the passenger headlamp motor.

What causes this movement? The drivers side has nowhere near the amount of play. Do I jeed to replace the crank arm? Is there a fix for the crank arm (like shimming the pivot points)? Is there something else that I am missing?

In a nutshell, the crank arm still demonstrates a range of motion, when the lamp is fully up or down.
It was suggested to me that I adjust the white nylon bumpers that should limit that motion, and if that doesn’t work, that the crank arm is bad and that I need to replace them.

Yes when compared to the 90's headlights, well to be fair, 1986. The same headlight used on Firebirds is the same light used for years on Chevy trucks.
