Black- 1999 Camaro Z28
Need advice, possibly legal advice
I let a friend / coworker borrow my truck to go down to Miami for a funeral because his car is unreliable. That was friday, here we are on Thursday and I don't have my truck back. I talked to him yesterday he said they stayed longer than expected and he would be back to work today. Well he isn't here and nobody knows where he is. He wont answer his phone, won't answer text messages, nothing. I don't know what to do I'm getting worried. I don't want to report it stolen but I feel like I have no choice because I can't get this guy to answer his phone anymore. I've let him use it before to move and stuff and its never been an issue.

the truck wasnt stolen it was borrowed with permission, and he was supposed to be back today but isnt and your already thinking about reporting it stolen and possibly having your friend arrested for grand theft, a million different things could have happend delaying him and he could have a dead phone and trying to get home, you said hes borrowed your truck before and you trust him enough to borrow it again but hes a little late and you want to report it stolen, if it were my friend i would wait and hope for the best

I found his girls cell number in his office and he answered it. Said his was dead but come on he could of used his girls phone to call the office and ask for me. Still, something doesn't seem right.

Let this be a life lesson: Never loan anything to anybody - especially money and vehicles!

Never again. I will never do this again. Now its supposedly broke down and at a mechanics getting a fuel pump put in it. I asked him the name of the shop and googled it, turns out its there getting worked on as we speak. Guy said they will be done in an hour. Still just pisses me off. Im gonna be a wreck until I get it back.
