It's personal opinion, no one can make up your mind for you.
If you want my .02 cents,,,I personally can't stand these cars without a grille installed. Just looks like a big fish out of water.
I don't care for billet stuff either. Prefer the stock look. Either the bowtie grille or the SS grille.

for your car if the wheels were all chrome, I'd have said billet. For now SS SLP would look really nice.

SLP for me...
Just like the way it looks, had the stock one for the first couple years, but prefer my SLP with the tie.

I've had a stull billet grille (brushed alum) on mine for a few years now, getting tired of it and thinking of painting it black. My car came with the same grill you have...hated it.

I have an aluminum grill with the 1967 "SS" emblem on it. Took a bit of work to get everything to come together, however I love the way it looks on my NBM SS.
I like the aluminum grills on darker colored cars.2002 Camaro SS M6, 2.5 PRC 5.3L heads, TFS 228/230 cam, FAST 92, bolt ons + a 10 lb bottle in the back.
1989 Corvette L98, A4, Full bolt ons, etc.

Black billet grille with 69' SS emblem, old grille removed and blacked out behind the new grille because it is body color back there.
