FITMENT: 98-99 Chevy Camaro/Firebird/Trans Am
COLOR: Ceramic
STYLE: 2 Piece 4-1

This is a 100% brand new performance header exhaust system. This header features light-weight design. It is made of high quality T304 stainless steel with mandrel-bent tubing (CNC machine flanges with TIG and MIG welded construction). Its light-weight and fast air-flow design combined with the exhaust system provides instant performance upgrade: add instant horsepower (8-12 hp). Professional installation is highly recommended.

I hear this a lot, though i've never tampered with shorty headers before. Funny thing is I was glancing at an episode of HPTV when they were installing Edelbrock TES shorties on their LS1 Camaro SS. On a back to back dyno run the headers & y-pipe showed a gain of 13rwhp, which doesn't seem to shabby for shorties.

The only comparison i can give is i put shorty headers on my 93 LT1 with a tune it made a very big difference. It would spin out its tires in the higher rpms meaning 2nd gear which it never did that before and notice a nice difference in power top end. On the LS1 it already has good top end im not sure how much better there gonna flow since ive heard some say stock manifolds on 01-02 camaro's flow good enough if your gonna replace them with shorties dont bother. But i must say you would gain power just not as much as you would ofcourse running LT's.

i'd save more money for LT's, thats the route i went, both are gonna be just about the same difficultly to put in

Im gonna say a waste when you step back and look at what the gains are compared to other setups..(Long Tubes)... but im the type who likes the best before something average IE: I skipped buying a lid and went with a full Volant Cold Air Kit......... but on a side note the stock manifolds actually flow decently really, the biggest difference im guessing would be the removing of stock cats.....
